In light of recent “changes” in WordPress and the fact that I’m not developing WordPress sites professionally anymore I migrated my blog to Hugo.

Hugo is a new acquaintance for me and I’m still learning the ropes. The feature set does not seem to be comparable to WordPress, but this feels like a right choice for now.

I had a bunch of old posts with WordPress code snippets that I purged while doing the migration. All of them were quite old and most likely obsolete, so it was probably a good time for them to go.

After four years of remote work, it was time to get back to the office. The change was organic as I switched to a job which was located in Vaasa.

Vuoden 2022 lopulla päädyin irtisanoutumaan Geniemiltä ja siirryin Knowitille.

Kerran nyt irtisanoutumisen makuun oli päästy, niin vedin lapun sisään noin 4 kuukauden jälkeen ja palasin takaisin Geniemille helmikuussa 2023. Knowit oli mukava paikka, mutta ei täysin sopiva minulla. Onneksi koeaika on molempia varten.

For some reason MacOs doesn’t have an “easy” way to add spacers to the Dock from the settings. But luckily they can be added from the command line.

Pitkästä aikaa taas WordCamp. Tällä kertaa Tampereella.

Aiheet olivat aika pintapuolisia ja aikaisen heräämisen vuoksi aamupäivä meni vähän puolivaloilla huolellisesta Red Bull -tankkauksesta huolimatta. Puheiden osalta parasta antia oli Jaakko Alajoen esitys natiiveista Gutenberg lohkoista, joka on ollut Hionillakin paljon esillä viime aikoina.
